| CHENNAI’S FASHION AMBASSADOR’S HIT SINGAPORE |
Recently Chennai’s Fashion Ambassador Fa Chennai Man 2007 CA. Amit .P. Nahar and Fa Miss Chennai 2007 Samyuktha S, were in Singapore addressing the press in Novotel Clarke Quay - Singapore. As the winner of RS Fashion Ambassador Award during the Fa Miss Chennai and Chennai Man 2007 conducted by VIBA, they represented Chennai as the New Fashion Ambassador with a rare combination of Brain, Brawn & Beauty.
Spending around 3 days in Singapore on an all expense paid trip, sponsored by Singapore’s business house The Rasool’s, they were escorted around the best Hot Spots in Singapore. From Changi Airport to Sentosa, from breakfast at China Town to dinners at the night food markets of Lau Pat Sa, from Little India to Arab Streets, from staying in Hotel Grand Mercure Roxy to Novotel Clarke Quay, they spent time exchanging the cultural diversities and similarities of India and Singapore.
They also visited the SIM (Singapore Institute of Management), Stock Exchange of Singapore, UOB Plaza One, Suntec City Mall, Capital Tower to get a brief insight into the Economy of Singapore. According to them “Singapore’s Economy is a highly developed and successful capitalist mixed economy. It has an open business environment, relatively corruption-free and transparent, stable prices and one of the highest per capita gross domestic products (GDP) in the world”.
The press, both Television and Print media were present at the press conference to meet the new fashion ambassador. Various questions including their passion, hobbies, social responsibility as an ambassador, public service initiatives were asked to him. “The best feature of Singapore according to them is the Racial Harmony. In classroom, students are taught to respect other races through their Moral Education lessons. They are taught to respect to other races which is at times lacking in India”.
Their interview is going to be telecast on Singapore’s Vasantham TV and will also feature in various newspapers and film magazines of Singapore during the month of April’08.
